Describe how you work in a team.
I’m a team-first athlete who values communication, trust, and accountability. I always stay positive and supportive, on and off the court. I lead by example through my work ethic and energy, and I’m always ready to help teammates improve. I believe that great teams are built on respect and effort, and I give my best to contribute to that every day.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
One of my biggest highlights was being selected to play in an older age category, competing against stronger and more experienced players. It pushed me to raise my game and made me proud of how far my work ethic had taken me. Another highlight was being named team MVP—I felt truly honored, and it motivated me to keep improving and leading by example.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
Outside of sports, I enjoy coaching younger players and volunteering at local volleyball events. I also love spending time with my family and friends, and I’m interested in health and fitness. These activities help me stay balanced, give back to my community, and continue learning as both an athlete and a person.
Who are your role models and why?
One of my biggest role models is my coach, because they’ve taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and always pushing myself to improve. I also look up to professional athletes who lead with humility and work ethic. They inspire me to stay focused and never give up, no matter the challenge.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I’ve been involved in refereeing and coaching younger volleyball players, which has helped me grow as a leader and understand the game from different perspectives. I also enjoy volunteering and participating in school activities when possible. Being involved outside of playing helps me stay well-rounded, develop communication skills, and give back to the community that supports me.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
This year, I was honored to receive the Student-Athlete Award for my age group at school. It meant a lot to me because it recognized both my academic efforts and my commitment to sports. I felt proud and motivated to keep pushing myself to succeed in both areas, knowing that hard work in the classroom is just as important as performance on the court.
What program would you like to attend in school?
I’m interested in studying law, especially criminal law. This year, I had the opportunity to do a shadowing internship with a criminal lawyer, and it confirmed my passion for justice, analysis, and helping people. I would love to pursue a program that challenges me intellectually and prepares me for a future career in law.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I see my college life as a balance between academics and athletics. I want to be part of a competitive volleyball program while staying focused on my studies and preparing for my future career in law. I’m excited to meet new people, learn from great professors and coaches, and grow both as a student and an athlete. I know it will be challenging, but I’m ready to work hard and make the most of every opportunity.
