Describe how you work in a team.
Whether I am on or off the court, I like to stay loud and engaged. I cheer on my teammates a lot. I am focused and very competitive – always strategizing with the team on winning plays. I love to watch game videos of our upcoming competition to figure out their strengths and weaknesses so we can better prepare as a team!
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
In 2023, when I was chosen as the Most Outstanding Libero at the Varsity Provincials, I was very grateful. It felt amazing to be recognized especially since I was the youngest player at the competition and I worked very hard.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
I play the viola in my senior school orchestra. I enjoy playing the viola because it is a technical challenge and the beautiful music that we make together brings me joy.
Who are your role models and why?
Laney Choboy from the Nebraska Huskers. She is one of my role models because she hustles a lot and goes 110% for every ball! Her focus and ability to read the play is both impressive and inspiring!
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I am involved in the Gaming and Tennis clubs at my school. I enjoy these clubs because it gives me the chance to hang around with my school friends which I don’t get to do very much given my volleyball schedule.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
Achieving a 4.0 GPA (91% average) on my latest report card was very satisfying because of all the hard work it took to achieve it.
What program would you like to attend in school?
I am interested in Marketing, Sports Management and Kinesiology.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I think my school life will be very exciting and challenging to balance everything.
