Describe how you work in a team.
I’m effective in team environments because I value communication – both expressing my thoughts clearly and listening to what others bring to the team. I am very reliable and teammates know they can count on me to fulfill my responsibilities and I always arrive prepared. I really like to celebrate my teammates’ achievements and work to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued, which I believe helps our entire team perform better together.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
My interests outside of sports include cooking and baking, being with my friends and family, reading and watching murder mystery movies and series.
Who are your role models and why?
My role models include my older sister, who played volleyball and persevered through challenges and injuries to play at a high club level. My 16U coach Makyla is a combat helicopter pilot and freely gives her off time to coach, support and develop strong, confident players and young women.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I enjoy skiing, climbing and working out. These are activities I get to do with my family so we get to spend time together.

What program would you like to attend in school?
I would like to study math, business and design. I think it’s important to be able to design and promote buildings that are sustainable and considerate of the changing environmental conditions.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I think university will be tough but exciting, with sports and school to juggle, and learning how to live on my own for the first time.
