Describe how you work in a team.
I work very well with a team. I love working with my teammates and seeing everybody succeed as well as giving it their all. I am a really optimistic person on and off the court and I bring a lot of fun and positive energy to the game while staying serious and focused on the work. I make sure that girls feel like they can lean on me if they need to, whenever they are in need of support. Team work makes the dream work. This is something that I highly believe in. After years of playing team sports, I have experienced first hand how incredible it is to be a part of such a group. 12 girls with the same mindset working together towards a shared goal. I believe that every person plays a key role in the success of a team. What I love about volleyball is how a group of people can easily become a family.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
The athletic highlight that I am the most proud of is being selected as one of 18 incredible athletes across Canada to be part of Volleyball Canada’s National Excellence Program. I felt honoured and incredibly proud of that accomplishment.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
Outside of sports, I love to travel. I really enjoy going on road trips with my family, meeting new people and learning more about their cultures.
Who are your role models and why?
My role model is my mother. I admire how organized she is and her ability to do great things. She is a really hard worker, she inspires me to do better everyday and to strive for excellence.
