Describe how you work in a team with your partners.
In a team, I stay connected to my teammates so that I am able to give and receive feedback at any point while playing. I uplift my teammates with volume and presence on and off the court and I make sure to stay engaged and focused because I believe if I show up for my teammates, they will show up for me as well.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
Outside of sports I really enjoy reading, baking and spending time with close friends and family. I enjoy these things because it gives me a time to recharge and be present. I also really enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures and exposure to different ways of life.
Who are your role models and why?
I believe I do not have only one role model, but several influential people in my life. I think one of my role models is my coach Carter Walls. For me, he represents commitment, hard work and honesty because he always shows up for my team no matter what, he always gives practice his all and he will always tell you honestly what you need to work on and/or what he wants to see from you in the future.
Another two of my role models are my parents because for me they represent support, perseverance and connection. They always support me in whatever I have chosen to pursue as long as I show up and give it my all. My mom built a children’s footwear and apparel company out of nothing and has shown me that the good days do not come without the hard ones. Despite the fact that my dad has never played volleyball, he always shows up to every volleyball game and cheers me on. He has helped me persevere through hard games and never holds back when it comes to positive and/or constructive feedback. My parents are not only amazing parents but amazing people and they never fail to show me how important family connection is.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I started playing soccer at 5 years old and I played it up until last year. I played high performance soccer alongside high performance volleyball and because of this, I am now able to balance the demands of multiple sports and school, while continuing to perform at a provincial level. I have also been in a French Immersion program since kindergarten and I now know I would be able to play varsity sport at my highest volleyball potential while maintaining academic success.

What program would you like to attend in school?
In post secondary, I am not completely sure what I would like to study but I am leaning towards kinesiology or behavioural sciences. I am really passionate about sports and why things happen/how things work, whether that means studying the body and/or the brain.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
In university/college I envision myself prioritizing achieving high marks and remaining involved and focused with the team that I commit to. I want to ensure I prioritize my school and volleyball before my social life in order to achieve high marks and reach my volleyball potential.
