Describe how you work in a team.

I strive to be a supportive and communicative teammate who contributes positively both on and off the court. I approach every practice and game with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. I believe that staying open minded and focused helps me grow and better support my team.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

I received the Level 3 Athlete of the Year award from Volleybox, which was presented to me by Nikki Cornwall during my first year of playing volleyball. This achievement felt especially meaningful because it reflected a full year worth of dedication, including training every early morning without fail. Receiving the award motivated me to keep pushing myself and pushed me to continue growing in the sport I love.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

Outside of sports, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, and relaxing by watching shows. It helps me recharge, stay grounded, and come back to training with a clear mindset.

Who are your role models and why?

My mom, Nikki Cornwall, and Lexi Rodriguez are my role models. My single mom inspires me with her hard work and strength, and sacrifices she makes to support our family. Nikki has been a huge support throughout my volleyball journey, guiding me and leading by example. Lexi motivates me with her passion and determination on the court.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

I’m involved in track, basketball and weightlifting in addition to volleyball because I believe playing multiple sports and strength training help me improve my speed, agility, strength and teamwork. Playing multiple sports helps me stay physically balanced, avoid burnout and develop skills that make me a stronger, more adaptable volleyball player.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

One academic highlight was a group math project on scaling and design. Our teacher recognized our project to be one of the strongest in class and we received a top grade. I felt proud of what we created and confident that our teamwork and effort paid off.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I want to study Legal Studies because I’m passionate about fairness and justice, and I want to prepare for a career in law.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I see my school life as a balance of academics and athletics. I plan to stay disciplined with my time, work hard in both school and volleyball. I want to enjoy my academics and be surrounded by a committed and a supportive group of girls. I look forward to combining these two parts of my life by joining a team of dedicated athletes while continuing to focus on academics.
