Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them.
2017 Athlete of the year – proud to see that my hard work throughout the year paid off
Scored the game-winning penalty in the 2019 Hamilton Sparta Mcmaster Tournament Invitational – ecstatic that I was able to directly contribute to my team’s success and proud that when my team was counting on me I was able to come through for them.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I enjoy taking part in extracurricular activities other than soccer because of both the social aspects and that I believe it is important to be well rounded. I take pride in being a very outgoing individual and extracurriculars have allowed me to make strong connections with many different people. Many of the other sports I’ve played have also helped shape me into a much better soccer player.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
I follow both Canadian and American politics. I like being informed on what is going on around the world so that I’m able to hold conversations with adults as politics is a very common topic of conversation. I recently began investing. Warren Buffet once said, “If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you’ll work until you die.” That statement resonates with me and I feel investing in newly established companies and corporations is the best way to do that.
Who are your role models and why?
My most influential role model is Cristiano Ronaldo. His incredible work ethic, drive to be the best, and the respect he shows to his body has always inspired me. For the last year, I’ve devoted a large portion of my life to becoming as healthy as can be. I have worked very hard on both my nutrition and physical fitness. I’ve done my best to stay consistent and I owe it to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them.
100% in Grade 10 History – The highest mark in the class, 96% in grade 10 English- the highest grade in the class, I felt very proud of what I had accomplished. I put in a lot of time and effort into perfecting all of my assignments for the 2 courses and it proved to pay off.
What program would you like to attend in school?
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I envision myself spending practically all my time either in the library on the field or in the weight room. I want to be at the top of my class in my program and perform to the best of my ability on the field.
