Wow! What an incredible year 2024 was!
Thank you all who signed up as Six Pack Recruiting athletes, participated in our webinars, engaged with coaches, grabbed a Six Pack Recruiting sticker, battled hard on the court, celebrated with us and committed to your dream schools!
It’s been a dynamic year for Six Pack Recruiting Sports because of you and we loved every moment of it.
You might have seen our iconic purple and orange tent across countless volleyball events this year; from Capitol Hill Classic in Washington DC to OVA Provincials at RIM Park to Volleyball Canada Nationals in Edmonton to NCAA Beach Nationals at Gulf Shores, Alabama to the NCAA Final Four in Louisville, Kentucky. Wow.. that was a long sentence. It’s hard to narrow down our favourite event this year, but one of the most notable moments was when Coach RJ of the University of South Carolina got to finally step on the beach court to directly work with athletes at the Beach Nationals NCAA Clinic. It’s been a long time coming!
Stay tuned as we’ll be hosting our NCAA Beach Clinic again this year for its 6th year at Ashbridges Bay, Toronto! Additionally, we’re super excited to announce that we’ll be hosting our very first 16u NCAA Beach Clinic at the West Coast Beach Nationals in Vancouver, BC!
The month of July 2024 alone was one we’ll never forget! Six Pack Recruiting was invited to bring a U21 team over to Shanghai, China to compete in an incredible event. Dale selected athletes from across the country:
- Macyn Unger – Lib – Simon Fraser University
- Tia Shum – Lib – East Carolina University
- Viktoria Wahlgren – Setter – University of Dayton
- Anya Fehr – Setter – University of Calgary
- Grace Melnick – MB – University of North Carolina Wilmington
- Nina Kovacevic – MB – Simon Fraser University
- Narele Arnold – MB – University of Calgary
- Sullie Sundara – OH – McMaster University
- Emily Foest – OH – Brock University
- Brooklyn Grobb-Prinns – OH – Jr Bisons VBC / Committed to University of Texas San Antonio
- Toni Wilson – OH – Phoenix VBC / Committed to Western University
- Lydia Johnson – OH – Michigan State University
- Logan King – OH – Long Beach State University
We had the opportunity to play a pro team from Korea, who ultimately won the event, but we beat them in 5! We also played against teams from Vietnam, Shanghai, Thailand and France. It was thrilling to be able to give these girls an international experience.
Fun fact, this year Six Pack Recruiting has:
- Over 100 hotel night stays
- Over 81,000 km in the car driving
- Over 125 hours of flight time
… it’s a miracle Dale and Lexi still speak to one another after spending so much time in the car together.
As always, what we do is more than jetting off to the next volleyball tournament. The best part of what we do is hearing “Hey Dale and Lexi, I just want to let you know that I committed to my dream school!” and the journey to get you there is the cherry on top.
We celebrated over 75 commitments across 10 divisions this year, from CCAA to USPORTS, JUCO to NJCAA to NCAA D1, D2 & D3 schools. We don’t just get athletes committed to a school, but the right school.
Here are some of our most notable commitments in 2024:
- Maeli Cormier, 2025, Oregon State University, NCAA D1 Indoor Volleyball
- Devon Sales-Parno, 2024, Mount Royal University, USPORTS Indoor Volleyball
- Allie Schultz, 2025, Elon University, NCAA D1 Indoor Volleyball

… and the list goes on…
We’re proud of each and every one of our athletes who committed to their dream schools.
We absolutely love guiding volleyball athletes through this crazy world we call recruiting. This process is so much more than just having a profile on a website. It’s more than learning how to write the perfect email to a coach or navigating the recruiting rules. It’s about the coach connections; and we don’t just mean calling a coach on your behalf for the sake of calling a coach. It’s the trusted relationships that Dale has fostered over 30 years in the volleyball world. It’s the thrill of negotiating on an athlete’s behalf. The excitement from both coach and athlete when they individually tell us they have an offer on the table. When university coaches tell us that the only recruiter they pick up the phone for is Six Pack Recruiting Sports, we know we’re doing something right for our athletes.
Our team here at Six Pack is looking forward to more group sessions where we teach you all the skills to navigate the recruiting process and advocate on your behalf with your dream coaches.
We’re also looking forward to continuing our partnerships with the Ontario Volleyball Association and Volleyball Canada. We will continue to work towards our common goal: to provide the best support for Canadian volleyball athletes to continue playing their sport at the highest level.
There’s a lot coming your way from Six Pack Recruiting Sports in 2025 – so keep your eyes peeled.
