Describe how you work in a team.

In a team, I am a team player and a leader. I encourage, support, and motivate those around me. When I am on the court, I make sure I am always giving 110% and encouraging others to do the same. I create strong bonds with my teammates by motivating them to put their best possible foot forward. I am always sure to let my teammates know that I am always there for them on and off the court.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

My interests outside of sports are reading, baking, and spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy reading as it enriches my creativity and enhances my knowledge. I love baking because it’s a great way to experiment and try new things, and it makes for a great gift to the loved ones in my life, such as my family and friends.

Who are your role models and why?

My role models are my parents. My mom and my dad have always pushed me to be the best version of myself, on and off the court. They taught me that in order to achieve my goals, I need to work hard, be disciplined, and to never give up.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

I am a member of the Humberside Community Contribution club. This club is important to me because it allows me to give back to my community, as we plan and organize numerous events such as the Easter Food Drive for The Junction Residents Association.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

When I received my Honour Roll certificates for Grades 9, 10, and 11, I felt extremely proud of myself. I work very hard on and off the court, and this includes my academics. I study very hard in each subject in order to provide a great foundation for learning for myself, and it felt great to see my hard work paying off.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I am interested in studying Commerce, and majoring in Finance. The reason I want to attend this program is because it provides an introduction into the business world and teaches you many important skills such as networking, financial literacy, leadership skills, and analytical and critical thinking. I believe that all these skills will be extremely useful in my post secondary school life, which is why I am interested in this program.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?
