About Six Pack Recruiting Sports
How it all started
Six Pack Recruiting Sports was founded in 2018 by Dale Ann Melnick, after an eye-opening moment on a flight home from after winning silver at NORCECA Championships in Honduras. Sitting beside her setter—then the top-ranked setter in Canada for her age group—Dale asked what her plan was for university. To her surprise, the athlete shared that she had hired a recruiter who didn’t understand her particular needs and academic sensitivities. She felt she as though she still had no guidance through her recruiting process.
As a former university coach herself, Dale was stunned. She had always assumed that coaches handled recruiting directly. When she looked into Canadian recruiting support, she found little to nothing available for athletes north of the border. That was the spark that ignited Six Pack Recruiting Sports—a service designed to educate, empower, and open doors for Canadian and international athletes navigating the complex world of college recruiting.
