Volleyball Most Improved Player (MIP)
-I felt as if I was improving through the season and it was nice to know others recognized it and felt the same
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
I really enjoy Outdoor activities such as riding my ATV, Biking, Running, and Walking.
Spending time outdoors helps me escape, relax and reflect while still being active.
I enjoy listening to podcasts. I especially enjoy sports and motivational podcasts.
I enjoy spending time with my friends. When I’m with them we like to swim, go on walks, and bake. I like to hangout with my friends because they’re important to me and are very supportive.
Who are your role models and why?
Heather Bansley.
Heather is my role model because she is a 5’8 Team Canada Beach Volleyball player. She gives me motivation because she’s an example of not being limited by height.
She shows me that height is only one number and with hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn and grow, goals can become reality.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
Strength and Conditioning
-This is important for me because I recognize the demand that being a high level athlete puts on my body, it is essential for me to prepare properly so I am able to put my best effort forward for myself and my team.
Flagfootball.
-I play flag football because it is a fun way to learn new skills and have fun while also meeting new people.
Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI)
-YPI is a Province wide charitable project. I looked at this as an opportunity to connect and get involved in my community. I chose to research the OPP Youth Foundation because I wanted to help give children opportunities that I was given. I recognize I am very fortunate that I get to play sports at a high-level and want for others to be able to get involved.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
I am proud that I am only in Grade 10 and I’ve successfully taken 1 University Level Chemistry course, and am currently completing University Biology.
Honour Roll student Grade 9 and 10
– I feel proud that my hard work, and my time and effort studying continues to pay off.
What program would you like to attend in school?
I would like to attend school for Criminology and/or Psychology to prepare me for a career in Policing/Detective.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I envision my life in College/University to be an exciting challenge. College/University is a place where I want to experience new things, places and people. I am dedicated student athlete and look forward to sharing my time at College/University with like-minded and motivated people. I am exited for the opportunity.
