Describe how you work in a team.

I have a positive attitude no matter the circumstance. I’m supportive of all my teammates and encourage them when things aren’t going their way. I always put the team first. I’m very competitive but I don’t let it get in the way of my support for my teammates.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

Provincial All-Star 16u (2023): Very gratifying to put in a ton of work all year and have it pay off in the biggest tournament where I played the best I had all year.

Team NS 16u (2023): I’d often hoped to make Team NS one day and finally achieving that was very special. I felt very proud to represent the province.

Team NS 18u (2024): I worked hard on my skills to be able to make this team. Very honoured to make this team that was full of terrific players.

CPA High School Rookie of the Year: I played multiple sports in my grade 10 year and was awarded the Rookie of the Year for CPA. This was a big and unexpected achievement that made me very happy and proud.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

I enjoying travelling, going to new places, understanding different cultures and seeing and learning about different people. I also enjoy fashion, finding clothing combinations that help me (and others!) look good.

Who are your role models and why?

My parents who are both hard workers but manage to balance their careers with coaching, watching all our games and generally enjoying life.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

I swim every summer not only for cross-training but because I enjoy the different atmosphere of 1 on 1 competition. I also enjoy an active lifestyle that keeps me in shape and builds other skills that may or may not translate to volleyball,

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

High Honours Grade 10 and 11: I worked hard alls school year to achieve good marks so I was proud of myself for obtaining a high average while still playing varsity sports.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I’m interested in the Sciences – environmental and health sciences are both areas of interest.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I love the idea of having a mixture of athletics and academics. While I know that will limit my social time, I see myself being focused on getting good grades and excelling on the court.
