Describe how you work in a team.
I am an excellent team player because I always support my teammates and encourage them no matter what. I listen carefully and apply the feedback my coaches give me. Since I always give 100%, it motivates others to put in just as much effort. I make sure to include everyone and use my leadership to find solutions on the court.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
– Won EOSSAA Double A volleyball 2025
– Won EOSSAA Double A volleyball 2024
– Making a difference award VPC Camp 2024
– Student who stood out the most in terms of sports leadership award (2024)
– Won a lot of times in track and fields
I felt a lot of joy after winning EOSSAA with my school team. In 2025, we had a perfect season, never losing a single set. I was so proud of our team and grateful for the opportunity to experience something so special.
Winning the Making a Difference award at VPC Camp was also a moment of great pride for me. It pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, and I gave my absolute best effort on the court.
I also felt amazing winning multiple track and field competitions in high jump and long jump. I was able to manage my stress and perform at my best, which made those victories even more rewarding.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
Spending time with my family and friends, and cooking.
I love spending time with my family because we share such a strong bond. I’m very close with my sister and brother, and we always support each other. I also have the best time when I’m with my friends, making unforgettable memories. Additionally, I really enjoy baking meals and desserts because it takes my mind off things.
Who are your role models and why?
My role models are my parents because they are truly amazing people. They are incredibly hardworking and always there for our family. They have helped me believe in myself and taught me to never back away from a challenge. I know they will always be there for me and support me no matter what
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
Track and field
Cross country
Flag Football
I believe that playing multiple sports is incredibly beneficial for becoming a better athlete. I love trying new sports and engaging different muscle groups—it helps me stay active and clear my mind. I also enjoy meeting new people and experiencing a variety of exciting, challenging, and fun situations through different sports.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
Mini-Courses Program (University of Ottawa)
The experience was unforgettable. I was really happy attending the program. Only the top students in our grade were invited, and I had the opportunity to go two years in a row. Spending a week at uOttawa in a classroom, deepening my knowledge in math and science, was an experience I’ll always cherish.
What program would you like to attend in school?
I would love to attend a healthcare program at school. I’ve always had a strong desire to help those in need, and knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s life is important to me.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I look forward to meeting new people and forming lasting friendships. I’m excited to learn more about health science and to challenge myself academically. Additionally, I hope to continue playing sports, especially volleyball, and to connect with teammates who share my passion for the game.
