What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

I like to read historical fiction and classic literature because it expands my connection with my emotions. I also like to watch tv because it is my way of unwinding and forgetting about other things going on in my life.

Who are your role models and why?

My role model is my mom because she has been faced with more challenge than I can imagine and is always able to persevere and put on a brave face for her children.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

Joining school clubs such as book club, debate club, and WiSTEM are ways for me to get in touch with people that have common interests with me and make new friends. They also allow me to spend time doing the things I most enjoy outside of sport.
