Describe how you work in a team.
I am a strong leader on the court and help the team in a positive way which leads to success. I have been told that I bring a good energy, work extremely hard to improve at every opportunity, and take the game very seriously.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
When I was selected for Team Alberta I felt like my hard work paid off to get a spot on the team, I know my hard work has been for something.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
Camping – I like having some down time outdoors especially around the camp fire.
Skiing – I did it more when I was younger, but I like how different it is than volleyball.
Being around horses and animals – I like how they make me feel, and I love being in the barn.
Who are your role models and why?
My role model is my Nana because she went from being a single mom and raising her kids to being very successful.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
As part of the High Performance Athletic stream at our High School, we have the opportunity to try a variety of sports, which I think the multi-sport approach is valuable so you can work a variety of muscles in your body and adapt to different game situations.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
I have been working on a grade 11 social course on-line this summer, which has been very hard and a lot of work, I received a few 100% on my assignments, which makes me feel very accomplished.
What program would you like to attend in school?
At the moment, since I really don’t know exactly what I would like to take in university, I have been taking some aptitude tests to help give me some direction. I think I would like to take Business, but that could change.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
