Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

Details coming

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

Outside of sports, I enjoy playing games with my family, especially card games like euchre. My family is very competitive, and when we play together, everyone is determined to win, which creates an exciting and fun environment I love to be a part of.

Who are your role models and why?

Two role models I look up to are Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes, a Canadian beach volleyball duo. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, they fought hard and earned silver medals. I admire them not only because they are both under 6 feet tall but also because they prove that anything is possible with hard work and determination. Their journey to the top showcases the effort it takes to reach such heights. Beyond their athleticism, their supportive relationship and teamwork inspire me to be the kind of teammate I strive to be. They’re always loud, enthusiastic, and full of energy—qualities I truly admire.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

Outside of volleyball, I enjoy playing tennis with my family and friends. I’ve grown up playing tennis, and as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize how much it connects to volleyball. For me, tennis is a way to improve my volleyball skills off the court. I also participate in various school sports, including the flag football team, soccer team, and tennis team. These activities help me build connections and make new friends within my school community. Additionally, I’m involved in the Project Sunshine and Knitting Club at school. Project Sunshine is an organization that supports kids in hospitals, and as students, we have the opportunity to raise money for them by hosting events around the school. In the Knitting Club, I’ve been able to deepen my love for knitting, a craft my grandma taught me when I was younger and still enjoy today.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

Last year, I received High Honours on my report card. This means my average was above 92%. This was an extremely rewarding feeling because I had received high honours in previous years, but this year my schedule was much busier, making school much harder to manage. Receiving this award proved to me I could manage both academics and athletics and reduced my levels of stress regarding success in both areas.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I am still unsure and don’t have a solidified program, but I find a lot of interest in business and could consider myself working in the business industry in the future.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I love to be busy! I hope that my life in college or university can be packed with athletics and school. Being busy allows me to eliminate procrastination, produce my best work, and perform my highest.
