Describe how you work in a team.
I share my ideas with my team and let others contribute theirs as well. I usually take the lead so the energy can be very high on the court. I always make sure to listen to everyone.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
When I was given the OVA award I felt very honoured and accomplished from all of my hard work from last season
When I received the founders achievement award it was a good feeling because it was my first big award in volleyball and I will always remember it.
Winning the Team Ontario cup was an amazing experience, so many people were watching and to have an opportunity to play with such accomplished athletes was an honour.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
– I enjoy playing basketball as a second sport because it is so much fun to try new things
– I like to read poetry because I’m very passionate about my feelings
– I’m very interested in movies and the film industry because I think its fascinating how they’re made
Who are your role models and why?
My Mom is my biggest role model because I’ve seen how strong she is and how she works issues out in her life. I am around my Mom the most in my family so we are very close, she always takes lots of opportunities to show and tell me lots of things I will need for my future which I love.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
Being involved in extracurriculars is very important to me because I love being involved in the community and trying new things, like basketball, soccer, flag football, and more. Having a balanced routine is important so volleyball isn’t the only thing in my life.
