Describe how you work in a team with your partners.

My team works great together. Communication is a big part of this and my team and I are great at communicating about what sets to run. And just enjoying playing is also a big help.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them.

Phys-Ed award in school – I felt surprised cause the school told me they were giving the award to someone else

Involvement in other sports or extra-curricular. Why is it important for you?

I used to play hockey and still play beach volleyball. Hockey is all about endurance which helped me in volleyball. Beach helped improve my vertical and space awareness on the court.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

I enjoy working out and painting. Both are an escape from reality for me.

Who are your role models and why?

Dana Rettke because she is a killer hitter and her story of being an awkward tall person to becoming a volleyball player was inspiring even though I’m really not that tall.

My mom because she had the opportunity to play for a big school for volleyball and turned it down to stay close to home.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them.

Honour roll in ‘20 and ‘21 I felt really surprised in ‘20 because I didn’t put effort into my grades but in ‘21 I felt accomplished because I worked for getting high grades.

What program would you like to attend in school?

Criminology or Criminal Justice.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

Focusing on school and volleyball. Practicing everyday and games whenever we can squeeze them in. And studying at night. Classes in the day.
