Describe how you work in a team.

When I work in a team I’m supportive, calm under pressure, a leader by example, and I strive to mentor younger players.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

My biggest team highlights were winning the Grade 10 province wide championship along with the team sportsmanship award, also getting third in the U15 volleyball BC games championship. These highlights made me incredibly happy, thankful and proud for the teams I was playing on because not only did we succeed in winning games we displayed strong sportsmanship.

My greatest individual athletic highlights we’re getting 1st team All-Star at the Grade 10 province wide championship and getting an All-Star at the JR Best OF The West tournament in Kelowna. These two awards made me feel very proud and accomplished.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

One of my interests outside of sports is piano, I’ve played piano for 11 years and every time I sit down at the piano it soothes me. It is something that can take my mind off of anything and it also helps to relax me after sports.

Another one of my interests outside of sports is woodworking. It lets my imagination go wild and I can create or build almost anything I want. It lets my inner little kid come out which is good when I feel stressful.

Who are your role models and why?

One of my role models is Caitlin Clark, she is a professional basketball player for the Indiana Fever. I started watching her a couple years back and she is an incredible resilient athlete, and was one of the best NCAA point guards in history.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

I play soccer, basketball, and compete in track and field. These other sports are important because they keep me in shape and teach me valuable sports knowledge from different perspectives.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

This year i have had the opportunity to do school both online and in school. This opportunity gives me flexibility for sports and teaches me discipline. Across my first semester classes and two online classes I have kept an above 90% grade average.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I’m interested in forensic science and psychology.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I envision my post-secondary school life with a healthy balance between a high GPA and competitive sports career.
