Describe how you work in a team.
I believe that a team is a collection of parts. Each person on that team contributes to the whole. I try to do everything I can at practice and in games to contribute my all to the team.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
While I do feel pride when I am given individual awards, I know that I am part of a team, and team success means more to me than any individual award. I would rather win a tournament than finish 2nd and be an All-Star.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
I like to read A LOT in my spare time. I like to learn about different things, and sometimes just lose myself in a good novel.
Who are your role models and why?
My big sister is my role model. She is an amazing student and volleyball player, and it is because of her that I try to be the best I can be both academically and on the court.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I have played basketball for my school team. I believe that being a part of school teams is important to build school spirit and pride. I also enjoy the physical aspect of basketball.
