Describe how you work in a team.

On a team, I focus on communication, trust, and effort. I’m the type of teammate who brings energy, encourages others, and stays accountable. I believe in leading by example and always putting the team’s success ahead of individual goals.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

One of my proudest athletic moments was being selected for the U19 Team BC to compete at the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG). I was younger than most of the players, so just making the team was a huge achievement, but earning a starting position made it even more special. I felt incredibly proud, honored, and motivated knowing that all my hard work and dedication had paid off, and that I could compete alongside older, talented athletes while representing my province.

Making the Red and Blue teams for Team BC in 2024 and 2025 was another super proud moment, as it showed my continued growth and consistency as an athlete. I was also part of teams that won the hockey championship three years in a row in both AA and AAA hockey. An amazing experience that reflected our teamwork, determination, and love for the game.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

Outside of sports, I enjoy doing well in school and challenging myself academically. I like spending time with my friends, which often ends up with us playing sports just for fun. I also enjoy watching movies and going for drives, as they help me relax and recharge outside of my training and school schedule.

Who are your role models and why?

My role models are my parents. They’ve always shown me what hard work, commitment, and kindness look like. They support me in everything I do, both in school and in sports, and they’ve taught me the importance of staying humble, respectful, and giving my best effort. I look up to how they handle challenges and always put their best foot forward, and I try to bring those same values into everything I do.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

I’m also involved in hockey, which is important to me because it gives me an outlet to release energy and emotions in a positive way. It helps me stay physically strong, competitive, and focused. Hockey challenges me to think quickly, work as part of a team, and keep pushing myself. All skills that carry over into other areas of my life and sports.
I love all sports – golf, basketball, surfing, all the things

What program would you like to attend in school?

I would like to attend a program related to physiotherapy, athletic therapy, or kinesiology. I’ve always been interested in how the body works, how athletes recover from injuries, and how movement and strength can be improved through training and rehabilitation. Studying in one of these areas would allow me to stay connected to sports while helping others perform their best and stay healthy.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I envision my school life in university as a balance between academics, athletics, and personal growth. I want to challenge myself in the classroom, especially in courses related to kinesiology and sports science, while also giving my best effort on the court. I see myself building strong connections with teammates, classmates, and coaches, and getting involved in campus life. My goal is to stay organized, work hard, and make the most of every opportunity that helps me grow as both a student and an athlete.
