Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

Canada National 16U D1T1 MVP (2023)

The MVP award of the Canadian Nationals is a prestigious award. I received this award with utmost humility and pride. I felt humbled to receive this because volleyball is a team sport .
This individual award is only achieved with strong coaching and the hard work of my teammates. I share this award with them.

Yet, I felt very proud to get this MVP award. Proud because of all the hard work put in by myself to compete with taller opponents at the outside hitter position.
Proud to have led my teammates to this ultimate goal by setting an example with relentless, gritty yet composed performance on court.
Proud to have represented my family values. Proud to reward my parents for their love, time and finances allocated to my development in volleyball.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

Music
Visual arts
Reading

I like above stated hobbies because of the richness it feeds my mind through auditory, visual and mental stimulus.

Who are your role models and why?

My role models are my brothers and my dad. My brothers both play volleyball and they inspired me to play the sport as well. Whenever I see them working hard to lead their team, I want to do the same to lead my team to success. Another role model I look up to is my dad. My dad taught me important lessons such as, being humble, never giving up, and never backing down from a challenge.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

Swimming
Basketball
Soccer
Track and Field
Tae Kwon Do

My parents exposed all of us to many different sports. This helped me immensely to acquire overall athletic ability, durability and physical and mental composure. Participating in multiple sports has certainly exposed me to a wider range of motor skills which has benefited me to learn efficiently and master the volleyball skills at every level.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

Honour Roll
Athletics Award

When I received these awards, I felt proud of my achievements and my efforts to get to these accomplishments. By receiving these awards, I felt reassured that I am going down the right path and that I need to continue working hard!

What program would you like to attend in school?

I would like to attend a science program in school.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I envision my school life in university to be stressful but exciting! I know I have to be on the top of my game in order to achieve the grades I want and be able to explore and meet new people. I can’t wait to meet new people and be open to learning new things and stepping out of my comfort zone.
