Describe how you work in a team.
I am a true team player. I always put forth 100% effort and support my teammates on and off the court. Encouraging others to achieve their best is very important to me and being a positive leader at all times. Overall, I am receptive to feedback from others teammates and coaches. One of my favorite inspirational quotes is; “There is no “I” in team”.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
Outside of sports I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. On weekends that I don’t have volleyball I enjoy getting to catch up and hangout with my friends, same goes with my family.
I also enjoy travelling. I have been to 9 countries (mostly Caribbean Islands). I love travelling because travelling gives me a break from my reality. When travelling I can relax and take in other sights that I don’t see everyday.
Who are your role models and why?
One of my biggest role models is my mom. Growing up my mom was an all around athlete. Playing and expressing interests in many of the same sports as she enjoyed, I participate in Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Track and Field). My mom also received various awards for involvement in sports, including over all Grade 13 graduating athlete and winning WCSSAA for track and field. I look up to my mom for feedback and suggestions when it comes to all my sports, especially volleyball. In addition to playing the sports growing up she also coached during her teaching days. I aspire to not only to be able to play sports, but to share my knowledge of the game with others as she did. My mom has taught me so much about the game and is continuing to help me develop as an overall student athlete and person.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
Being involved in other sports and extracurricular activities is important to me for many different reasons. It gives me the opportunity to grow and become a well rounded athlete learning new skills with each sport. Involving myself in extracurricular activities at school gives me the opportunity to meet new people. As well I am able to stay involved within my school not only in sports but leadership opportunities.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
Grade 9 Healthy Living Education Award
-When I received this award I was beyond happy. I take pride in all my academic subjects but when it comes to Physical Education, I also put in a huge effort. I help others when playing games and this award made me feel that my effort and support in phys ed was noticed.
Grade 9 Honour Roll
-I am very devoted to school and always make sure to put the effort and time in for work and assignments. Receiving this award allowed me to realize that hard work pays of it the end. I felt relieved that all my hard work was paid off.
Grade 8 Honour Roll
-When I received this award I was so happy that I ended my elementary school career with good marks and that I would be able to handle high school well.
What program would you like to attend in school?
I would like to enrol in a Kinesiology program. I am very intrigued in sports medicine and I think Kinesiology would be a great program to take, to lead me down that path.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
