Describe how you work in a team.

In a team I am a very selfless player. I put a lot of trust into my teammates and pride myself on my attitude while playing. I know what my job is on the court and preform to the fullest of my abilities every time I step onto the court. I feel that working as a team is one of the most important things about this sport so I make a point to connect with all my teammates on and off the court.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

Honour Roll (Grade 9)

School has always been important to me and something I valued. Sometimes it can be hard being a high performance athlete and a good student so when I see my hard work paying off I feel rewarded and proud of myself.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

Outside of sports I love spending time with my family and friends, baking/cooking and reading. Baking and cooking have been something I have done with my mom sense I was a kid. I find reading as a great outlet and way to spend my time off my phone!

Who are your role models and why?

My role model is my older brother. Growing up in a big family with mostly girls my brother introduced me to sports and is the main reason I have such a love for sports. Growing up with very feminine sisters who are all relatively smaller it was hard for me to feel “normal” always being so tall, my brother helped me build confidence and see how my height is not something to be ashamed of but something to embrace.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

What program would you like to attend in school?

I would like to go into Education, specifically into early childhood education.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I am excited to experience university/college and the many different parts of life that come with it. I am excited to meet new people and open myself to new things/ideas. I hope to continue playing volleyball and meet new teammates and coaches who love the sport as much as I do!
