What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

Outside of sports, I love to travel with my family. I enjoy seeing new places, eating new foods, learning about different cultures, and exploring the land. Travelling gives me the perfect opportunity to unwind from my busy schedule and spend time having fun with my family. I also really enjoy reading. Reading allows me to relax and enjoy time to myself while providing an escape from everyday life. It also allows me to grasp new concepts, indulge my imagination, boost my creativity, and expand my knowledge on many diverse subjects.

Who are your role models and why?

My role model is Serena Williams. She is a fighter and never gives up. She is considered the greatest tennis player of all time, but that doesn’t stop her from continuing to work hard and improve her game. Serena is strong, confident, talented, and is a hard-worker. She is intense and plays aggressively with intention, which is similar to how I play volleyball. I admire her competitiveness and drive and I aspire to be successful like her. Serena is an amazing athlete, and overall someone I idolize.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

This past year all sports teams and extracurriculars at school were cancelled due to COVID-19. Though in previous years I have been involved in multiple sports teams like volleyball, basketball, softball, flag football, and tennis. In March, 2022 my school started to bring back sports after COVID had calmed down and I played on the senior girls volleyball and softball teams. It’s important for me to be involved in other sports because they teach me different skills and muscle movements that I could apply to volleyball. Overall being involved with other sports will allow me to be a more well-rounded person, build/improve my athletic abilities, and create relationships with new people outside of volleyball.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
  • Honor Roll

I hold myself to a high standard and continue to strive and achieve an academic average of 90% and above. I feel proud that I can balance my academic and athletic goals, and be acknowledged for my academic accomplishments.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I haven’t yet decided what I would like to study in university, but I am open to different programs. I have interests in business and psychology, but I am keeping my options open.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I envision my time in university will be filled with some of the greatest experience in my life. I would like to attend a school where I can find a good balance between volleyball and academics. I am excited to someday play the sport I love most while studying the subjects I’m passionate about. I picture myself being an active and involved member who contributes to my school’s campus community.
