Five words you can use to describe yourself as a high performance athlete.
Five words you can use to describe yourself off your field of play.
Describe how you work in a team.
I love being part of a team. I love the energy, the atmosphere, and the bonding, on and off the court. I lift my teammates up by providing words of encouragement or by simply cheering them on. I understand my role and am passionate about us all working together to achieve a common goal.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
I enjoy listening to music given that it makes me feel positive and satisfied while also helping me get through difficult moments.
I enjoy camping and portaging in the provincial parks during the summer. It allows me to put down my phone and take in the people and nature that surrounds me.
Who are your role models and why?
Zoe Fleck is my role model in volleyball. She too plays Libero and I hope to be able to read the game as well as her one day.
My parents are also great role models. My mom is strong, athletic and independent. My dad is a calming presence and always brings humour to my life. They’ve always put me first.
Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?
I enjoy most types of physical activity. I snowboard, I strength train. I have my PADI certification and love to snorkel and dive when possible.
Keeping active is important for me because I don’t like to sit still and it makes me feel good to move.
Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?
What program would you like to attend in school?
I enjoy mathematics, all sciences, civics and physical education in high school.
I’m curious about sports/health science, forensics, and law enforcement
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
My goal is to manage both my academic and volleyball careers. Along with pushing myself to be the very best student and athlete I can be, I aim to meet new people. On and off the court, I want to have an amazing experience and strong relationships with the people around me.
