Describe how you work in a team.

I take immense pride in my skills of being a teammate. I work best in a team setting which is why I love volleyball. I am an encouraging and uplifting teammate, and am always looking for ways to contribute to my teammates success on and off the court.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

Details coming

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

My interests outside of volleyball are spending time with family and friends, and travelling.

I love to spend time with my family and friends because I enjoy being in the company of others. I love to laugh and I do it most when I am with my friends and family. I also love to travel because I like to experience new things.

Who are your role models and why?

My role models are my parents because of their dedication to everything they do. My parents remind me how hard work is necessary for reaching your goals, and persevering through life obstacles results in success.

My volleyball role model is Logan Eggleston. She is one of my role models because of her aggression on the court, intense work ethic, and humility. Logan is an incredible volleyball player whose skills are elite and consistent. She is also a supportive and positive teammate, which are all characteristics that make me admire her.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

Last year I joined my school’s first ever ultimate frisbee team. I love to try new things so I decided to join. This year I am playing senior girls Basketball for the first time. Playing different sports is important to me because it challenges my sports mind to think in new ways in terms of strategy and skill. I also enjoy it because it challenges my athletic ability to learn new movements and techniques.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

Receiving Honour Roll during high school made me feel a sense of pride. I felt accomplished and proud that the effort I was putting into my schoolwork was paying off. I also felt determined to continue working hard at my studies because of my perseverance through obstacles like the pandemic that affected how I learned.

What program would you like to attend in school?

I would like to attend a Psychology program in post-Secondary. I am interested in the aspects of psychology that involve sports mindsets and mentalities in athletes. I also am very interested in adolescent psychology to examine how our minds develop as we grow.

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

I envision my life in university as a successful balance between studies and sports. I see myself learning a lot about myself and discovering independence while managing my time between school and sports. I am excited to have new experiences and continue to develop not only as a student-athlete but also as a person. I love the sport of volleyball and envision it as a driving force for my personal success in university.
