Describe how you work in a team with your partners.
In a team, and with my beach partner, I encourage and push my teammates to achieve our shared goals, while staying committed to the process not the result.
What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?
An Interest outside of sports for me would be spending time with loved ones. I love spending time with my friends and family whenever I get the chance. Another interest of mine would be travelling the world. I’ve always loved travelling to different countries, learning more about other cultures and trying new things. My final interest outside of sports would be maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I like to spend a lot of my time on wellness.
Who are your role models and why?
One of my role models would be Tyrone Mings. Tyrone Mings plays professional soccer for my favourite team but came from humble beginnings. With determination he was able to achieve his goals but has now created many charitable projects. Another one of my role models would be my brother, Ben. My brother constantly pushes me to be the best version of myself, but what I most admire about him would be persistence when overcoming injury. He has been injured on multiple occasions and out for several months. Despite this, he comes back even stronger every time and uses those breaks to his advantage. Thanks to him, I’ve never believed I can’t do what I want to do or be who I wanted to be.
What program would you like to attend in school?
In post-secondary school, I want to attend a health-sciences/medical program. In the future, I hope to become a doctor.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
In university, I envision myself living away from home, studying, playing volleyball, and meeting a lot of new people.
