Athlete Bio

Five words you can use to describe yourself off your field of play.
  • Trustworthy
  • Considerate
  • Social
  • Happy
  • Engaging
Describe how you work in a team.

I am a confident and engaging player, that encourages a positive approach to team play.

I enjoy setting, and even in pick up games will play in the setters position because I get a great satisfaction from seeing my team and teammates succeed. I have found I can contribute to their success by providing them with the best opportunities to execute.

I enjoy working together as a team and with my hitters one on one to develop and improve timing. I really enjoy bonding with my hitters and working with them to succeed and develop their game.

Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:

Inspires me to continue to strive to do my best and proves hard work pays off.

Individual awards are nice and I appreciate them, but for me personally they are humbling. I immediately think of those that made this recognition of me possible and appreciate the fact that I would not have received such recognition had it not been for my teammates, coaches and parents.

What are your interests outside of sports? Why do you like them?

I enjoy working out, listening to music, traveling and spending time with friends. I love to spend time at my family’s cabin riding quads and all activities on the water. This time is special for me because I get to spend time with all my family. My father and I also operate a hobby apiary, with about 10 hives.

Who are your role models and why?

My role models are other players (Kate Lang setter University of Hawaii) that have the attributes that I strive for such as mental toughness, consistency, creativity and skill. A fun role model for me is Yoda. Yoda is calm, wise and powerful and doesn’t get rattled by anything. A quote from him that I like is “Do or do not, there is no try”, put your heart into everything you do.

Role models such as Bergen Reilly (Setter University of Nebraska) I appreciate because of their floor communication and creativity.

Involvement in other sports or extracurricular. Why is it important for you?

I have always been a multi-sport athlete and enjoyed competitive swimming and hockey. I love to compete and push myself. Since the beginning of 2022 I have dedicated myself to volleyball.

Academic highlights and how you felt when you received them?

Being on Honour Roll, confirms my hard work is paying off. I have always been on the honour roll and work at it, and have never takin it for granted.

What program would you like to attend in school?

Art/Sciences

How do you envision your school life in college/university?

More friends from potentially around the world that are busy and working hard, like I will be. Very excited about the new environment and what it has to offer.

Look forward to working on becoming a nurse and exploring the profession further.
