How do you navigate your volleyball recruiting after club season?
Regardless of it being the off-season, college coaches are still actively recruiting over the summer break. You don’t want to pause your recruiting process. This could actually be one of the most crucial times in your recruiting!
If the season is over, how do I get in front of coaches?
Tournaments may be over, but many programs will offer prospect camps over the summer. This is a great opportunity to get in front of the coaches at your target school and work closely with them. You not only can showcase your skills, but you can get a good sense as to whether you thrive under their coaching style.
Be proactive
Take this opportunity to get clear about your goals, create a killer highlight from the season and connect with coaches on your target list. If you’re not proactive, you’ll be forgotten pretty quickly. Recruiting after the club season requires you to be as involed, if not more.
Make sure your details are up to date
Update your recruiting profile online and stay in communication with your recruiter. At Six Pack Recruiting, we’re speaking with coaching every single day about Six Pack Athletes. If your video or volleyball details are not current, it makes it harder for us as recruiters to give coaches to TLDR about you as an athlete.
If you’re not working with a hands-on recruiter, it’s time to change that.
Recruiting is a strategic game in itself. Having someone in your corner who understands how to play the game of recruiting, as well as advocating for you to your dream coaches is what’s going to set you apart from the rest.
Get started the right way the first time, with Six Pack Recruiting Sports.
